Good morning 5RT

04 May 2020

Good morning everyone,

Hope you had a lovely weeekend and have a fantastic May the Fourth!

It was lovely to see so many of you on the Zoom meeting on Friday.  We will do it again this week so look out for the times.  It is Bank Holiday Friday this week so we will do the meeting on Thursday and there will be no lessons on Friday.

Hopefully lots of you will be able to make it again.  As you are all so amazing at poetry, I thought it would be nice if you could bring one piece of poetry to the meeting.  It can be one that you have written or one that you like.  You do not have to bring one but if you would like to, it would be lovely to hear you read  it.  If you are not sure what to write about, the English lesson today could give you inspiration and this week I am going to be putting a setting of the day on the morning messages.  You can use it to write a poem or to write a setting; like you do in the EML at school.

Finally, some of you mentioned that you have been using duolingo.com to learn new languages which is brilliant! You will need an account to start so speak to an adult.  Here is the link for those who would like to have a go:

https://www.duolingo.com/

Here is a picture of a setting for you to write about if you want to:

I hope you all have a lovely day.

Mr Tromans and Mrs Grant

Hello Edith. Great to hear your enthusiasm. Bring one of the poems you write to the Zoom meeting on Thursday. Would love to hear you read one.

I was going to write that pun in the comments because my dad wants us to watch all the star wars movies tonight..

Ah, that would be fun Daisy - although I am not sure the night is long enough. Enjoy any that you do watch.
