MATHS ONLINE HOMEWORK: Times Tables Rockstars

Miss Jordaan - 09 Mar 2023

To continue to develop the children’s number fluency, we would like the children to practise their 10 times tables. In class, the children have been counting in multiples of 2s, 5s and 10s. When it comes to times tables, speed and accuracy are important – the more facts your child remembers, the easier it is for them to do harder calculations and access mathematical concepts. We will practice each of these time tables separately and then will combine them at the end.

In Year 2, the National Curriculum expectations for times tables are for all children to be able to recall and use the multiplication and division facts for the 2,5 and 10 multiplication tables.

Your child's login details for Numbots are pasted on the inside of the back cover of their Home School Diary. Use these login details to access Times Tables Rock Stars too.  This programme can be accessed online here. Alternatively you could also download the Times Tables Rock Stars App for the iPhone/Ipad or Android App. Please ensure you have downloaded the latest version.  When your child first login, your child must choose their own rock star name and design their own avatar before starting to practise.

Please see us if you have any questions or problems logging in.

Kind regards,
Miss Jordaan and Mrs Lucas
