Dear Parents and Carers,
We would like to invite you to our Viking WOW Day Assembly, where the children will be presenting the incredible work they have completed about Viking life, raids, and culture.
- Date: Friday 13th February
- Time: 9:00 am
- Location: School Hall (Entrance via white double doors in reception playground)
Viking Dress-Up
To make the day truly immersive, we would love for all children to come to school dressed as a Viking. While costumes can be purchased online, we strongly encourage you to raid your own "longships" (wardrobes) first!
Here are some simple ways to create a DIY Viking look using everyday items:
- Tunics: An oversized plain t-shirt or long-sleeved top (beige, brown, or dark blue) cinched at the waist with a leather belt or piece of rope.
- Trousers: Plain dark leggings, joggers, or even pyjama bottoms tucked into long woollen socks.
- Cloaks: An old brown or grey blanket, a large towel, or a piece of faux-fur fabric fastened with a safety pin or a "brooch" made of cardboard.
- Accessories: Simple cardboard shields or helmets are great additions.
