SEND Strategy Meetings this week

The local authority has begun work on revising the SEND strategy and need to hear the voice of SEND families.
There will be different ways to engage. There are 2 online meetings next week( details below) and a survey will be going out shortly organised by the charity In Control( this is a POET survey).  There will be separate surveys for parent/carers, professionals and young people.

Alternatively, you can feedback your thoughts around priorities to us( walthamforestparentforum@live.co.uk) and we’ll send to the strategy writers.

The views, experiences and ideas of parents and carers are important in deciding what the priorities should be for the coming years. The LA are holding two online meetings open to all parents and carers of children and young people with SEND in the borough, to hear from you about what you think is important to include in our strategy.
 
The two meetings will be the same, so please attend the one that works best for you. Each meeting will start with a brief presentation about where the strategy review has got to so far and then there will be open discussion to get your feedback and suggestions. The meetings will be at the following times:
