09 Jan 2026

Due in by Friday 16th January.

You can do any working out in your homework book.

Spellings:
  • Spring 1, Week 1
Write each spelling out three times, then use each one in a sentence to show you understand what it means.
View all Spring spellings here.

Reading:
New year, new routine!
Get your child reading out loud to you for 10 minutes each school day.

Writing:
Write down what you have read this week and a short reflection of a conversation you had about it - including what you have learned.

E.g.
This week, I read chapter 9 of The Night Bus Hero out loud to my uncle. We discussed why the main character seems to be so mean to everyone and we decided that he is craving attention from his parents who seem to be absent a lot of the time. I also learned that Katie was surprised that noone had seen the thief steal the statue in central London at that time of day.
