English Tuesday 16th of June

15 Jun 2020

English
Today our focus is on punctuation. We are looking at the dash, comma and brackets. Watch the video below. Did you get them all correct?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/english-ks2-ks3-using-punctuation-in-advertising-brackets-commas-dashes/zfdb47h

1. Which adverts were correct?

2. Why were the other adverts incorrect?

3. Write an example using a dash, comma and bracket that is correct.  Write one sentence for each.

4.. Create your own poster advert making sure you use one of the punctuation marks (dash comma or brackets). You can choose anything to advertise maybe a new film, your favourite food, a place to visit. You can be creative and make up the product if you like.
