Music inspiring 3RT
08 Oct 2014
3RT listened to the the first piece of music as part of Ten Pieces on BBC2, which aims to inspire a generation of children to get creative with classical music.
The children listened to the music with their eyes closed and lots of them spoke about what they visualised. Some of the creativeness was so fantastic that we decided to find some time at the end of the day to write these thoughts. Two children named this end of day task
LAL,
'Late Afternoon Learning', the older sibling of
EML,
'Early Morning Learning'.
We will be listening to more of this music and using other activities to inspire us in
LAL throughout the term.
The first piece was called 'Short Ride in a Fast Machine' by John Adams.
What did you visualise? What could you see, hear, smell, feel, taste?
