Be our Mystery Reader

26 Feb 2020

We love Mystery Reader Fridays!

Each Friday, a new person comes into class to read us a story. Ms Addai, Dale, Ms Nairne, Mr Tromans, Ms Buckley… we have had so many!

The Mystery Reader can bring their own story or choose a story from our class. They sit on the teacher chair and read a story to the whole class. Ms Walter ands Ms Taj stay with them to help.
The Mystery Reader visits help to raise the profile of reading with our little people. They see that reading is exciting and that it is important to grown ups who we know and love. It introduces us to new books and  it helps us get to know new friends in our community.

AND NOW YOU TOO CAN SIGN UP TO BE A MYSTERY READER!
The following slots are available
Friday 6 March 3:10—3:30
Friday 13th March 3: 10—3:30
Friday 20th March 3: 10—3:30
Friday 27th March 3: 10—3:30
Friday 3rd April 2:10—2:30 * note earlier time

If you would like to volunteer, please
· Check that you are definitely available. Routine is very important for lots of our little friends and disruptions are stressful.
· Comment below with your name, your child’s name  and the  date you would like to read
· KEEP IT A SECRET! This is important for building the FEVER PITCH levels of excitement that we are aiming for!

If you need to bring younger siblings, who you think will sit  on the carpet for a story, that’s no problem.
If you would like to read but all the slots have already been taken, do not worry. We will do this again next term.

Any questions, as ever, come and see us.
