Numeracy Homework: Thursdays and Fridays

THURSDAYS

For Ms Adcock's numeracy set, homework is handed out every Thursday and is due the following Thursday.
Please make sure your child has completed their homework on time, or they may have to stay in at play time to do so.
If your child does not understand part of their homework and you are unable to help them, please encourage them to ask Ms Adcock for help before it is due.

FRIDAYS
For the Autumn Term Ms Adcock gave out a sheet with each week's timestables to practice.
From the Spring Term on, the timestables tests will be a mix of 12 questions from any timestables (with a focus on the more difficult 6, 7, 8 and 12 timestables).
Please make sure your child practices their timestables every day, with a focus on those they find more difficult.
Remember to practice each equation as a 'whole' number sentence.
Example: 6 X 7 = 42
Don't just practice the timestables as a list. For example: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 etc. This will not help quick recall.

When your child gets all 12 questions correct they recieve a sticker for their reward chart. If they get 12/12 three times in a row they recieve a small prize.
